Entering this magical place you could feel how different it was from the traditional trails. Maggie bounded through the paths as if looking for something.
Happy as always, but exploring all the nooks and crannies. Then I started to notice the difference in the trees. There were if you will little doorways. The hollowed out bases of the trees, different shapes and sizes as if this was a village of gnomes.
As we ventured forward more passage ways appeared. The nose of a dog knows … there’s more here than we have come across in the past and boy is this fun exploring.
Every hike is an adventure, every trail has a story and I seek out those unique areas that have water, rocks and distance. Removing ourselves from the hustle and bustle of life and finding calm, peace and tranquility in nature is a side of me that I didn’t know existed.
I challenge you to turn off the television, walk away from the social media and step into nature. Put you feet in nature and listen to those sounds that we have taken for granted. The songs of nature in its purest sense, away from the traffic, away from the whistles of the sports and step into the beauty of your surroundings. Maybe you will come across your magical place filled with gnomes or your creativity.
